He is one of the most renowned pollster and political analyst in Argentina. He advises and works closely with the most important politicians, businessmen and social leaders in the country.
Mr. Catterberg is the President and Co-Founder of Poliarquía Consultores. Previously, he held the position of Executive Director of Catterberg & Asociados, a survey research firm. He started his professional career at LECG focusing on Economic and Regulatory research.
He has worked on numerous electoral campaigns for legislative and executive offices and has developed several social situation indicators in Argentina, such as the Consumer Confidence Index, the Trust in Government Index, and the Citizen Safety Index. In addition, he has led more than 200 research projects on political, social and market issues.
Mr. Catterberg holds a Masters degree in Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences from Columbia University, New York. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Graduate studies in Finance from Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT). He was Professor of Economics at Buenos Aires University (UBA) and visiting professor at the MBA and Executive MBA of UTDT and ESEADE Universities.
He is frequently consulted by the local Media on political and electoral matters. Journalists from the international press -such as Bloomberg, Financial Times, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal, among others- also seek his professional opinion. Under Mr. Catterberg’s direction, Poliarquía Consultores and LA NACIÓN newspaper have published several projections for more than 20 national and local elections over the last decade, and have succeeded in accurately forecasting the result of each race.
